Long Night

I have decided with my friend Reven from the other lecture to hang out one
day. Before two weeks ago, he called on Friday night and he told me if I have a time
we can go some where in that night. He called in the good time. Because I was
seating with a guest in my homestead family and I get bored from him. I told Reven
for sure. We met at the university and there was Hasan too. Then we think about
where we would go. After while, we decided to went to the shisha place. It is place
like a restaurant and they have singer and they serve shisha, that is kind of bottle
used for smoke. Actually the place was full at that day but we had fun. Some times
me and Hassan made Reven angry because we forget about him and we start speak
Arabic but when we realize that we started speaks in English again. We still there
until 11:00 p.m. then we went to other place where our friend were. There was a
friend having a party for his birthday and he was a Canadian and all the guests’
English speaker. I had fun with them with all the difficulties between us in
misunderstanding in the language also most of them drunk it was really difficult. I
remember there was one of them not drunk and I have with him a nice
conversation. We talked about one song was playing in that night. And I really like
it. I he started to explain it to me. It was about a girl broke up with her boy friend
in a bad way. And he wrote this song about her. Also, he wrote she is like the
money between the people. As the money after while become dirt she will be. Them
we left from there and we went everybody to his home.

The Kingdom

Before I came to Canada I heard about a movie. It is called The Kingdom.
Now I am in Canada and I am living with a homestead family. One day I was
talking with the host father as usual after the dinner. He told that I can see the
movie now in the cinema they star show it. I went to my friends and told them to
come with me to see the movie and they agree and we went before two months and
saw the movie. The movie was about the terrorism in Saudi Arabia, some Saudi
people killed another people from a different country because the different in the
religion. After that, the government was very mad and decided to catch the ones
involved in that to punish them. There was a team came from U.S.A. to help and
they were helpful. After five days the government put their hands on the terroristic
and killed all of them. When I saw the movie, which was the first time I saw a movie
in English, and it was quite difficult to understand everything but I tried to under
stand from the actions and it was very sad movie. In my opinion, the terroristic was
doing the wrong thing and they did not have the right to kill some one with out any
reason. Finally, it was a chance to learn a little bit with having fun but I found it a
very good way to learn because on one hand you watching a movie having fun and
on the other hand you learn English.

Before 5 Months

My brother sent me my box which I did not take with me from Saudi Arabia. He sent it with Emirates’ air lines. The box arrived in Sunday so, the air port called
me to go there and take my shipment. I went in Monday, and I met the person who
called me. I told who am I, and I gave him the number for my shipment. However,
he told me I cannot give it to you until you go to Canada customs and finish with
them, and after that comeback. I said ok, and I went there in Tuesday morning. I
found the place after a while. Then I talked with the officer about my shipment and
he asked my passport. Then he asked me several questions about the box and what
the box contains. After that, he gave me the access stamp. Then I called a taxi.
After ten minutes he came and we went to the airport. During we on the way to the
airport I had a very good conversation with the taxi driver. Then we arrived in the
airport and I gave them the pass stamp and they gave me my box. Finally, I took
my box to my house by the taxi. Also, I found it a very good experience to tell you
about it because I forced to use my English to finish my problem and I learn from
them a lot.

The universities in K.S.A.

Nowadays, we have about 19 universities in Saudi Arabia. I am going to focus on two of them. The first one is called king Fahad university petroleum and minerals (kfupm) which follows the western universities style. The second on is called king Kaled university (kku) which is quite traditional. These two universities differ in many ways including the book, the language which they study in and the internationally acceptable certificate. First, (kfupm) is more developed than kku. Beside that, kfupm is interested in renewing all the books in the subject which the students study regularly. In addition, kfupm makes sure that all the students who interested in the university must succeed in the first year which is about math and English language. In contrast, Kku study the same books for 10 years. Second, kku students use the Arabic language for studying in most of the faculties and this never happens in kfupm. As a result, kfupm has become a famous university all over the world. Also, everybody tries to get admission in kfupm. Although kku still a good university in some fields, it is not as successful as kfupm. Further more, the kfupm certificate is recognized in more places than the kku certificate. Because of that, the students who have the kfupm certificate have priority to have jobs. Finally if you want to be more educated and with other language go to kfupm. Also, kku is a place where you will have a good education, too. To conclude, you can see the differences between the two universities in several fields. However, each one has its own way of teaching. In my opinion, I support kfupm because they really make a good leader of the student in the area that he or she studying in.

Advantages of living in home stay

There are some advantages with living in home stay. First, all of student who lives in home stay can improve their English skills because they use English whenever they talk with host families. Not only that, host families might correct students' mistakes or help them when they need. Second, students can learn not only English skills but also social skills and culture. They blend in with their new surrounding with these skills. Home stay is economical because it usually includes all services such as water, gas, internet and meals. It helps students to make the rent cheaper than living alone. Finally, host families can help them to make a stay more enjoyable and less frustrating. For instance, they might take them camping, traveling, fishing and skiing. In short, there is more than one benefit to live with home stay.

Put the Garbage in the Wrong Places

There are many problems that face the environment. One of those problems when the people put their unused things in the wrong places. However, they hurt themselves without knowing that. I think there are so many places to put the garbage, and I think every government makes rules about these behaviours and punishes everyone by the law, I think that it will decrease that problem. There is another solution which is teach the people about the problems which they will face if they keep doing this. Also, I think they must be careful because the way which they are fallowing the same way which will make them die faster.

Time Is Money

I think Benjamin means that money is something important because there are a lot of people who think the money is the most important thing in life, so he used the word money to make the time important as the money. And I agree with him. We should respect the time because it is the most important thing. For example, if you have an appointment with a company in Ottawa and you are in Calgary and the appointment is after two days you must take a ticket and prepare for that because it is a very important appointment. After that, you go to the airport after two days the appointment after five hours and the flight will takes three hours. When you are in the airport, they said you will be late four hours because the airplane need to be fixed or the climate is bad and you will be late and you won't have the appointment with the company. Then you will loss a lot of money. Then because of that, I think the time is more important than anything including the money itself.
